This is a vintage Paramount "B" Style 4-String Banjo. I don't know the exact age, but its very old/vintage. Its not in terrific condition as you can see, but not horrible condition either. The chrome is pitted is spots and could use a shine as you can see. The head is quite worn to. Please understand that I'm not an expert on Banjos by no means. But I'll do my best to describe. The neck has some wear on it as you can see. There is a slight bow to the neck, to be honest i dont know if this is normal or not, I'm just trying to state anything that I can pick out that may or may not be an issue. I took closeups of the neck from a side angle so you can see for yourself. The are some heavy scratches on the sides to. The case looks to be original which is a really nice plus. Its old, a few of the latches do not close properly, but a few do. So the case still closes. The bottom seam on the case is starting to open up, so its not the greatest for carrying it around in. The curved chrome bracket/guard (im not totally sure what its called) on the top side of the banjo, that goes about a 1/3rd around the banjo is also a bit wiggly. Hope this helps ya. The same closed back model sold last week for $800.00, yes it was in better condition but it didnt included the original case. So like i said, this banjo is going to need some work upon arrival, but you know how rare these banjos are to find these days. Enjoy!
