This is a fabulous pair of vintage silk damask curtains with matching tassel tie backs and trumpet valance in a perfect French Blue color. This pair is huge, with 7 pinch pleats per panel, 2 panels included in this auction. They measure 96 inch length, enough to puddle the floor. Each panel is 31'' wide at the top, and 62'' wide at the bottom...alot of fabric Enough to cover 2 windows if someone is handy with a sewing machine. The fabric is in excellent condition with no stains odors or visible flaws. They do have a slight slubbing which adds to the texture. A beautiful damask pattern. They are lined as shown in the picture. They were cleaned years ago, and never put back up. This set is from my Mom's bedroom. She had this set custom made to cover her one window and the whole wall w her french doors are. The bedspread is for a full size bed, but does work on a queen. This set was made for her in the early 60s, by a local design firm that is still in business today and the fabric is high end fabric. Unfortunately she doesn't remember which company. But it was imported and she thinks from France. But again she is not certain. I took them from her with the intention of putting them in one of my guest bedrooms, but I have never gotten around to it. I hate to see them hanging in the closet for more years.
