A Circa 1900 French Art Nouveau Cast Bronze Clock. It is mounted on a green stained walnut wood plaque with an iron hanger at the top. It is signed at the left and right side of the face of the casting as follows: "Susse Fnd. Ed Paris" on left and "S Guenandeau Scp" at right. The face of the clock is enameled with a white ground with enamel swags of flowers in gilt, blue, green, and red. Note that the fanciful hands are gilded. The dial is marked, "Susse Freres - Hors Concours" and "Paris 1900 - V". The overall dimensions are 12 ¾" / 33 cm. tall and 7 ½" / 19 cm. wide. The bronze clock itself measures approx. 10" / 25 cm high and protrudes approx. 1 3/8" / 3 cm. from the plaque. The condition is excellent having no damage to the casting and the wood mount is also clean. The crystal is thick with a beveled edge; It is also clean and undamaged. We do not know if the clock runs as we do not have a key to wind the clock. It is our opinion that the wood mount has been refinished, though it is nicely finished. Lastly, the casting is exception with sharp details. In short, it is of excellent quality. We are selling this at No Reserve!
