Celebrate Summer in Paris with lovely art for your maison, bastide, cafe or chateau :
A beautiful Paris watercolor print of the famed, Place des Vosges ( also known
as "Maison de Victor Hugo" ). Located in the Marais, it was built by Henri IV from 1605 to 1612. The landmark survived the destruction during the French Revolution as described in Victor Hugo's literary masterpiece, "Les Miserables." Victor Hugo actually lived here for 16 years from 1832 to 1848. He moved in at age 30 in 1832 with his wife Adele. Today, their apartment, "Maison de Victor Hugo" in the Place des Vosges is now a public museum and one of the most coveted addresses in Paris ! While not an original nor an antique, it is printed on watercolor paper and looks hand painted. Exquisite detail.
The image size is approx 9 x 6" ( with an outside measurement of 9" x 12" ) and includes a FREE 9 x 12" archival acid free mat. Just pop it in your own easy to find standard 9 x 12 frame. Will look beautiful in your own "grande maison" and will compliment your Restoration Hardware French inspired furnishings. Create your own Parisian "antique style" wall gallery grouping with several of our other Paris print auction listings ( all standard sizes ).
