You are bidding on a genuine Parker Cutlery Company Kayak Model folding lock-back pocket knife ( used ). Pictures are of the knife offered for bid – they are not stock photos . This is a very interesting, high quality knife. It has 2 drop point blades crafted from surgical steel. The master blade is etched with the word “Kayak” and a picture of a kayak. The shape of the knife itself is that of a kayak; it is also sometimes referred to as a bean shape. The tang stamp reads: Line 1: Parker Cut. Co. Line 2: Surgical Steel – Japan Blades measure 2 ¾” and 1 ¾” (tip to bolster). Bolsters are highly polished brass and handles appear to be smooth bone or horn (preferred material for Japanese knives). This is a superb knife for the collector; it would also make a great Holiday gift for someone special on your list.
