Parker fountain pen Zaner-Blosser edition lapis blue This is a full size set of Parker Zaner-Bloser fountain pen and matching mechanical pencil. Color is lapis blue. These sets were commissioned by Zaner-Bloser calligraphy schools in the 1920s and 30s. Extremely difficult to find. They have the Zaner-Bloser hour glass configuration as did most of their other products. They came in small and large size. This set is the large. The same lapis plastic was used by most of the major pen manufactures at the time. Made by Dupont. On the cap of the pen it is scribed " Parker Pen, made for the Zaner-Bloser Co. Columbus, Ohio. Columbus was the home of the company until 1981 when they transferred to Florida. Condition of both pen and pencil is excellent. The barrel of the fountain is darker than the rest as the rubber bladder tended to darken any material it was exposed to. But it's not too bad. Clips, rings, all very good. The pencil clip was designed a little different from the pen clip, but the ball is the same. Pencil works very well and takes 15mm lead. Pen point is 14 karat gold and is marked " Parker Pen made in USA 44 ". Point is a chiseled medium fine. Feed is exceptionally long.
