Parker -Frost Cutlery had this series made up in Germany commerating the Civil War. The set consists of four genuine stag whittlers. The two smaller knives are 4" long and have Johnny Reb etched on one knife and Billy Yank etched on the other knife. The two larger whittlers are 4 5/8" long and have Grant on one and Lee on the other. T were 1,500 of the sets made, retailing at $220 to $300 per set depending on the serial number. The set comes packaged in a deluxe satin and velvet lined display box. The set is serial no. 0945. The stag on these knives are super nice and well matched on each knife. These were made in the mid 70's and this one has been in hibernation since then and recently found. I do have a reserve on this set of less than wholesale when they were new, so you are not bidding against an unreasonable price. These are high quality German made knives and have the Kissing Krane tang stamp on one small blade of each knife. A very rare set of knives-When is the last time you saw one of these?
