PARKER MANDARIN DUOFOLD, RARE VEST POCKET MODEL, WONDERFUL MEDIUM BROAD NIB, RESTORED! NO RESERVE! Offered for your consideration is the elusive and highly sought after Mandarin Duofold in the Vest Pocket Model, the Vest Pocket Pen is by far the hardest to find of all the Duofold models and I do not need to mention the scarcity of the Mandarin's. It is restored, we used a clear silicone sac, it is fitted with its original Parker Duofold Pen, Made in USA nib and spear feed, it is a wonderful medium broad nib, it writes smooth and has excellent ink flow, it is a nice soft nib, probably a semi flex. As you can see the barrel is slightly darker than the cap, but not bad and better than many or even most Mandarins you see, the imprint is nicer than it looks in the pics but t is some wear to the imprint but not as much as you may think. T is one area on the barrel w t are some small fissures, you would not see these with the naked eye, you do need a loupe to see them and even when using the loupe they are hard to see, the area is about ¾ of the length of the imprint and twice as wide (the very last pic tries to show this). The one thing that I was most taken by the pen is that of the cap engraving, we know most do not favor these but to me this is a pretty special engraving, when most people see the engraving their first thought is
