For auction is a vintage Silver Pearl Parker Vacumatic fountain pen, made in 1946. The size is a Parker Major, with the rounded blind cap. The length of the pen is 5 1/8" capped. There are silver stripes going around the body of the pen. The filling system is a vacumatic, which works fine. This filler system is the last style plastic vacumatic filler (1942-1948) made by Parker. A push tube fills the reservoir. The barrel is signed - marked, "Geo S Parker", "PARKER VACUMATIC" and "Made In U.S.A. PAT " and "6" which is the date code of 1946. Posted, the pen is 6" in length. The nickel clip is signed "PARKER" and is 1 5/16 inches in length. The cap band is 3 nickel bands, very unusual. The cap screws on and off and has a black pointed jewel. The 14 KT gold PARKER ARROW NIB is marked "PARKER" and "USA". It is not marked with a number, but it is a Fine or maybe even extra fine.
