Up for auction is a Mickey Mouse tea set from the 1930s. The set consists of a teapot w/ lid (3.5" high), creamer, sugar bowl w/ lid, 3 cups and 3 saucers (3.75" in diameter). The dishes are in a caramel luster and on the bottom read: "Mickey Mouse, Corp. by Walt E. Disney, Made in Japan." The set is decorated with different decals. They include Mickey and Minnie in a boat, Mickey watering flowers, Mickey painting, and Mickey holding a microphone. The set is in nice condition overall with a small chip on the end of the teapot spout and some roughness on the rim of the creamer. A similar set can be seen in Punchard's Playtime Pottery & Porcelain from Europe and Asia on page 157.I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
