See the scans. Having reluctantly decided that I don't need to collect every single neat item that passes through my hands, I will be offering some U.S. cloth insignia and patches from my personal collection. This is a great variation of the popular 1st Cavalry Division shoulder sleeve insignia. It is chenille style embroidered on a yellow felt shield with a thin yellow cheese cloth protective backing. This is the flocked or looped wool thread design as on the old letter sweater emblems. The patch is 5" top to bottom. I would guess that this is probably Japanese-made and from the WWII occupation period. It passes the black light test. I will be offering some other unusual 1st Cav patch variations, too. Generally XF+ condition, clean, odor free. Note that t are a couple of minor moth nips in the edge of the shield backing at the top right and on the left side. Those should be visible in the scan. NO RESERVE !!! NOTE: I am very good about getting my orders out promptly, sometimes same day and almost always within 24 hours. However, lately the U.S. postal "service" has been very spotty. In the last several months, I have had first class insured items take over a month to California and two weeks in New York State. Most are delivered in a timely fashion, but a few are not.
