OLD PATCHWORK QUILTS AND THE WOMEN WHO MADE THEM, BOOK BY RUTH FINLEY published in 1929. Hardbound, dust jacket, 202pp., some photos in b&w, index. This book is 82 years old and for its age is in very good condition. It has a dust jacket which shows some wear especially at the upper spine part where a small chunk is missing from the dust jacket only. That area also has a very small tear in the cover at the middle of the upper edge of the spine. Otherwise this is in great condition. It does have a rubber stamp mark from a school at the bottom of the title page and a small white out spot on the blank page inside the cover. These are minor things but I wanted to mention them in case you are looking for a collector grade book. For its age, I would say it is very good. This book by Finley tells about development of quilt design, the four patch, nine patch, etc. It is very detailed and has some early b&w photos to illustrate examples. Not a lot of photos, but some very good pictures of quilts. Buyer pays 6.00 shipping in the States. See my other auctions and ebay store for more great books.
