Welcome! This quilt and auction are brought to you by: An Angel A Day, Quilts etc... I recently purchased a nickel pack of this wonderful fabric called Coming Home. It brings to mind our Grand Old Flag. To bring all these fabrics into a quilt with pride, I decided to combine all the red and cream prints to create half square tringles. Once they were all done, I needed to add the blue of the flag. Each of the blocks in this runner has 12 different fabrics. T are five blocks and a total of 36 different fabrics in the body of this piece. The border is a wonderful navy textural print. To add a bit of "zip", I chose to use a butter yellow for the double french fold binding. All of the fabrics are 100% quilt shop cottons. They are all manufactured by Moda. Each of the threads used to piece and quilt this gem are egyptian cotton and the batting is 100% cotton also. For the backing fabric I dug into my stash and found a wonderful Debbie Mumm print. All in all, this quilt is made of top of the line materials that will allow you to keep it for generations. So, the big question is... are you a patriotic decorator? do you have a loved one in the service? maybe you just love to decorate your home for the flag waving holidays.
