Paul McCobb, famous designer of modern furniture, also designed a line of china called 'Contempri.' Manufactured by Jackson Internationale in Japan in the late 1950s or early 1960s, this line came in many colors and patterns. At one point it was sold on the fourth floor of B. Altman & Co. on Fifth Avenue in New York City. How do I know? - well I have an ad! (Ad not included in this auction.) I have a bunch of Contempri in assorted patterns, but is the first piece I'm auctioning. It's the coffee pot; I don't know the pattern name, but I'll call it 'Red.' This piece is in excellent undamaged condition. No chips or cracks, with very little use apparent . Great modern coffee pot to put on top of your Paul McCobb furniture.
