This poster was issued in 1969 to the movie theaters to advertise the now legendary film starring American Icons Paul Newman and Robert Redford. This remarkable western is considered one of the very best films ever made, certainly one of Newman's best! This highly stylized one-sheet was printed numerous times back in 1969 and 1970 during the films original release. This poster is the RARE 1st printing. It has the rare M rating on the poster ( see photo #6) and more importantly the poster is printed on the vintage and highly desirable UN-COATED (not shiny or reflective) paper. This poster is in EXCELLENT++ to NearMINT CONDITION . It has been museum linen-mounted by the best with all archival materials. Any imperfections to the poster BEFORE backing were limited to the margins only and have been addressed and repaired perfectly. A lot of my buyers request linen-backed posters because it makes framing and displaying the poster easy and safe - without the risk of damaging the original.
