PEARL JAM: Two Postcards sent to me by Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready after I met them on July 21,1991 after their show for the 3 day Cabaret Metro 9th Anniversary celebration! in Wrigleyville - Chicago,IL .At the time I was 1/3 owner and full-time operator of Rave Records, the record shop inside Metro just to the right of the Metro's main entrance.I also owned Shake Rattle & Read in Uptown Chicago and was working 70 hours a week!On July 21 1991 Pearl Jam was an unknown band to most ... that night they were first on a bill, opening for The Jayhawks with Soul Asylum as the headliners.I had the good fortune to see that amazing show. After the show I got to hang out with the band where Eddie gave me a signed and inscribed cassette of theiryet to be released debut LP 'TEN' ....I listed that cassette on eBay tonight= ebay item number: 311535506370....I also listed the Concert T-Shirt from this show on eBay tonight if you are interested....ebay item number: 311535487400**** I am listing 2 postcards I received in the mail from Eddie Vedder & Mike McCready - signed and inscribed with Eddie's artwork - a postcard of Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field ( with Wrigley Lives On & R.I.P. Comiskey drawn on the front)and another postcard from Mike right before their 1st appearance on Saturday Night Live - ....I had given Mike a bootleg video of the Rolling Stones at the Checkerboard Lounge performing with Muddy Waters - in his postcard he states how much he & Eddie enjoyed the video - a year or so later the whole band visited me at my other shop - Shake Rattle & Read which I am now closing ...- I am retiring and moving out of Chicago after selling records here for the last 45 years. So everything has to go!Later that same evening I took Mike McCready and my lady friend Jill G. to a blues club on Belmont Ave to see blues legend Albert King where we were joined by The Edge from U2!What a night!
