"Pearls & Rubies" Figurine by Erte presented by The Franklin Mint The following is an excerpt from the Certificate of Authenticity included with this beautiful figurine. "The House of Erte presents an original work of art that reflects the dazzling art-deco style of the celebrated Erte. "Pearls and Rubies" is crafted in fine porcelain to capture every sensuous curve and is adorned with a treasury of precious metals. Her dazzling headpiece, opulently coated with platinum, rests on a luxuriant crown of curls gleaming with accents of burneshed 24 karat gold. Her dramatic earring shines with the brilliance of ten lustrous faux pearls. Bursts of radiant pearlized accents grace her sensuous ebony gown, while still more platinum coats her spectacular leg and arm bracelets. A single, stunning, faux pearl glistens on the toe of her sandal. And on her slender fingers, a real assemblage of hand-painted platinum rings reach out to an authentic ruby in a brilliant shade of scarlet. As a final touch of opulence, this grand objet d'art rests on a beautiful base of jet black porcelain, coated with precious platinum." This interesting piece was issued by the Franklin Mint and was strictly limited to 45 firing days. She stands 10 1/4" tall. The first two words that pop in my head when I see this figurine/sculpture is "glamour" and "intrigue."
