They providing maximum control with less pressure tby preventing injury to the sensitive parts of the horse's mouth. This bit is 3 bits in one and can be used for starting colts to re-training the hardest mouthed horses. I use the Pee Wee bit for starting and re-training horses to play polo, team rope or for pleasure riding . This may be the only bit you will ever need. It is the only one I use.
