Offered is a very rare book from 1927 featuring dozens of original black & white photos with titles from Germany. I do not speak German but had a few lines translated through Google. I believe this album was presented to Sergent Englehardt or to his family. Some of the lines that I translated was the title page: Pages of Testimony - 1927 - Two Jumper Prison. The printed page on page 3 says: The Penitentiary Zweibrucken - was with main building & 45 tents as well as the church & in the years 1839 - 1845. The prison with its approx 200 single cells and area's for official was built in 1901-1903 and for male person's. So, was this a graduate school or a penitentiary. Pictures of the Sergent August Englehardt 1840 - 1927 (warden?) are featured in the beginning of album and one other (may also be in a few more). There are a lot of group photo's of what looks like officers. Other personal including nursing staff, guards, cooks, personnel at the auto garage, etc.. Plus pictures of the grounds and prisoners playing Fist Ball, going to church (Catholic & Protesant, making shoes, tailoring, print shop, joinery work shop, nursery, kitchen and bakery plus individual prison cell and more. There are a total of sixty-nine original black and white photo's. Translation also suggests this album was produced around Christmas time 1927. You will also read more
