Pennsylvania RR A-5 0-4-0 Sunset Brass HO unpainted. ThePennsy had 47 of these little switchers on their pike all of which were Juniata built between 1916 through 1924. These 0-4-0s were equipped with Belpaire fireboxes that produced a boiler pressure of 185 PSI of super heated steam that drove the Walschaert Valve gearing. The 50 inch driver equipped engine could produce a tractive effort 30,192 lbs – more than any other class A switcher on the Pennsy despite having the longest stroke of any Pennsy 0-4-0 of 20 inches. They were largely shop switchers and while the first of the super heated steam A-5 class was retired in 1930, the last one to leave the active roster was 1956. The unpainted model is exceptionally detailed. Featuring a can motor, the Korean imported model appears to have been a display piece as the tender coupler is not installed and the plating is intact The model is a smooth runner featuring a can motor.
