4'2" X 6'9" Nain rug, very beautiful. No stains, no repairs, in excellent condition. No worn areas. Purchased in Bahrain in 2005. KPSI count is approx 270 (15 knots by 18 knots in a square inch). The center motif has a dark burgundy/ red color to it and of course the background of the piece is a very nice blue. Part of a good Nain rug is the design layout, the colors and most importantly, the craftsmanship of the piece. You can see the finely rounded flowers throughout. On lesser nain pieces you will find the flowers to not be uniformly round - perhaps some are oval in shape. The curves in the overall piece are important as well. The more graceful the curve, the more pleasing it is and the more difficult it is for the weaver to make. Have it in your home for seven days and return it if you don't like it, just ship it back to me and I will refund your money promptly. I was in the Navy in Bahrain and purchased the piece while scouring the rug markets. The cost is very close to what I paid for it and is a bargain.
