This listing is for an offset lithograph created by M. Peter Piening. It is titled Scientific Portfolio and dated 1968. The overall frame size is 24 5/8" x 19 1/4" and the lithograph mat size is 16" x 10 1/2". Overall in very good condition, a couple of the frame corners have a chip in them. The print was professionally framed with a double mat with about a 1/4" of space between mats to provide depth. Conservation quality glass was used called Tru Vue. The lithograph is signed in pencil but it is not numbered. Mr. Piening studied at the Bauhaus along with Lazlo Moholy-Nagy, Paul Klee and Mies van der Rohe. He worked at Life Magazine, was art director at Fortune Magazine and taught at New York University and Syracuse University.
