It has four 3/8" holes on opposite sides for hanging, and a drainage hole at the pointed base. Excellent condition, except for one small chip inside the rim, (photo 12,) and some pockmarks on the outside from use. Red clay pottery with green highlights, molded grapes and leaves. He joined Peters and Reed, Zanesville, Ohio in 1906, became president, and turned the company into a success. He adapted utilitarian flower pots into art pottery, creating the Moss Aztec line, a red clay pottery with green tints that had a rustic feel. In 1918 he became Art Director for Roseville, where he designed the popular Roseville Pinecone series in 1935.
