Where do I start? I'd like to start by listing the good bits about this car, but there aren't any, really. I bought this car 8 years ago, when it had not long had some bodywork (and a lousy paint job) done, needing a little bit of welding and an MOT. The car failed on the front break disc wear, rear brake cylinders, and the seat belt mounts, and that was it (then!). Since buying this car, I've been divorced (nothing to do with the car), moved 5 times, and changed jobs 3 times. As a result, I've never had the time to get to grips with what was a nice car that, at the time, only need a few days work to fettle. It was garaged for 2 years when I first got it, but then, following one of my moves, it ended up under a tarpaulin on a farm for the past 6 years, gently and peacefully rotting away. It has rotted in most of the places that these cars can rot but, specifically, the inner sills , the floor (just behind the seats), the front inner wheel arches , and the door bottoms . Surprisingly, the boot floor appears only to have surface rust. The car was painted, quite badly, not long before I bought it - the paint has lifted in several places, and there are a few patches of surface rust on the outside, as well as some " popped" body filler .The hood is in fairly poor condition, and has (sometime since I last saw it a good few months ago) picked up 3" tear . The interior is mostly complete and stored in the boot but, again, in pretty poor shape . They various bits would be useful for templates and not much more, although the door cards aren't too bad. All the glass is intact, although the window mechanism in the driver's door broke today , so the glass will not stay up on that side. The car ran well when moved to its current location, but has not run in about 3 years. I have tried to start it recently - whilst it will fire, it will not run (so, muck in the fuel line, a failed fuel pump, or a blocked carb?). The odometer shows just over 57,000 miles. There is a partial service history, so about 30,000, and its last two MOTs (1992/50,000 miles and 1995/51,000 miles). The V5 is present. I'm not sure that there is anyone out there brave enough to take on a project like this but, if you are out there, and have someone to take it to, the vehicle is sold "as seen", is SORNed and, given its condition, will obviously have to be towed away. It is currently about 5 miles from West Malling , Kent. I have a few more photos which I will post (once I replace my damaged camera data cable)... I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is advertised elsewhere .I am not interested in selling this car to anyone in South America, or Vanuatu. I am also not interested in any kind of money-laundering propositions. Any opportunities to be paid by Bankers Draft, or via W*stern Uni*n will be rejected . Any bids from any person with a feedback of less than 5 will be rejected unless you contact me in advance .A deposit of £100 will be due within 3 days of the end of the auction, and the car must be collected within 10 days of the end of the auction, unless a variation is agreed, in advance, with me. Payment by PayPal, Cash on Collection, or Personal Cheque (cheque must clear before the car can be removed).Apart from that, all I can say, enjoy the auction and Carpe Diem!
