Where do I start? I'd like to start by listing the good bits about this car, but there aren't any, really. I bought this car 8 years ago, when it had not long had some bodywork (and a lousy paint job) done, needing a little bit of welding and an MOT. The car failed on the front break disc wear, rear brake cylinders, and the seat belt mounts, and that was it (then!). Since buying this car, I've been divorced (nothing to do with the car), moved 5 times, and changed jobs 3 times. As a result, I've never had the time to get to grips with what was a nice car that, at the time, only need a few days work to fettle. It was garaged for 2 years when I first got it, but then, following one of my moves, it ended up under a tarpaulin on a farm for the past 6 years, gently and peacefully rotting away. It has rotted in most of the places that these cars can rot but, specifically, the inner sills , the floor (just behind the seats), the front inner wheel arches , and the door bottoms . Surprisingly, the boot floor appears only to have surface rust. The car was painted, quite badly, not long before I bought it - the paint has lifted in several places, and there are a few patches of surface rust on the outside, as well as some " popped" body filler .The hood is in fairly poor condition, and has (sometime since I last saw it a good few months ago) read more
