Peugeot 404 Family 7-seater Estate. One registered keeper. Purchased new in Co. Armagh, N. Ireland, October 1970. Taken to South Africa 1971 where it spent most of its working life, returning to UK 1980. Laid-up, dry-stored remaining unused, since 1986. Original paperwork includes Peugeot guarantee, UK and S. African log books, service and hand books. Mileage from new believed to be a little over 60,000. A £700 mechanical recommissioning and mot was carried out in 2003 but car remained unused since. It starts and runs but has no brakes, in addition it would now need further recommissioning and preparation for MOT. Original and sound underside. Body has rust around both rear side windows, both front wings at side light mounting areas, front panel around grille and needs an o/s outer sill (bolt-on). It is beginning to lightly rust in other areas. Most bright-work good. The interior is extremely good. This vehicle is to be sold strictly for restoration but it should be a straight forward and rewarding project. A rare and useful, potentially valuable, tax-free classic. Ideal perhaps to prepare as classic rally-support vehicle. PLEASE NOTE: THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD FOR RESTORATION, HAS NO MOT AND NEEDS TO BE TRAILORED AWAY.
