This is the Papa Bear of beer steins! This stein is about 20 inches tall, easily holds 3 quarts or 4 liters of beer. The design is a deep relief of two men sitting in a beer garden, one wearing liederhosen and is smoking a pipe, the other is sitting an drinking. RICH COLORS! Deep greens, blues, reds. The writing around the bottom reads: "Ein frischer trunk halts leben jung". It is signed TIROLER. The lid is pewter with great detail design work, the very tip of the lid is gone, does not detract from this magnificent piece!Must be insured because it is breakable. **** I don't know what is going on with the ebay shipping calculators, but they are grossly OVERESTIMATING shipping!
