is a Philco wooden tube type table radio that is a model 38-12. It is from the year 1938. This radio has a lighted dial with a gold leaf background. The dial light is clear and bright. T are no cracks or scratches in the dial glass. The original grill grille cloth has no rips or tears. I had this radio playing for several hours with no hum or distortion. I was able to pick up distant as well as local stations.The scale broadcast is from 55-170. It measures: 12 inches wide, 8 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches deep. This radio is a a very unique art deco. T are five tubes: 6A7, 47, 84, 75, 76. It has a very beautiful original finish. The cabinet is in very good condition with no scratches. It displays beautifully. This radio was very well taken care of. It comes from a clean smoke free home. I try to describe my merchandise as accurately as possible. I am not an expert. All items are sold AS IS.
