CHAPTERS ON ANIMALS by Philip Gilbert Hamerton with e tchings by J Veyrassat and Karl Bodmer .Published by Seeley,Jackson and Halliday in 1874 f irst edition. 252 pages plus a frontispiece and 19 further etchings on heavy paper; bound in green cloth decorated and lettered in gilt, with gilt page edges.The etchings are beautiful.There is wear to the cover with fraying to edges and corners. End papers have spotting. There is also some creasing and small tears to the page marked preface. Beautiful period book plate from City & Spitalfields school of art as the book was presented to Arthur Tucker. This is a scarce book. Thanks for looking and good luck with your bidding.
