Original sketch signed by the artist. Comes with frame. Ready to hang.About the artistRichard Salcido was born and raised in San Diego, CA. He started drawing night and day at an early age which led him to his first illustration job with the Jack in The Box company at the age of 14. Later he gained his BFA at the Laguna College of Art and Design where he says, "I ignored everything they taught me. I did whatever I felt like whether it pertained to the assignment or not, but I felt like I could learn more on my own by practicing all the time then I ever could listening." Both during and after studying illustration in school he took a few illustration jobs all which he says "ended badly" when he never really listened to what the clients wanted and was promptly just paid and quickly replaced. From then on he stuck strictly to the fine art field which has become his full time job and is much more comfortable with. "I draw, doodle, paint and whatever because it's fun. Illustration, although better than most other jobs, it's still a job. When it comes to making my art I just want to have fun with it and someone telling me how to have fun with it just wasn't fun." You can find Richard daily in his studio which ironically he has set up "job hours" to work from, painting and just having fun.Salcido has exhibited in various well-known venues
