Due to a mechanical failure, our computer crashed a little over five weeks ago and the retrieval process on our hard drive data has been very slow, but mostly successful. We are back online and hope to have no more problems. We do apologize for our absence and greatly appreciate your interest in our listings. We have an early Stereoview of the City of Portland as well as a later aerial view snapshot of Portland listed. Our reserve is the opening bid. This is an exceptional antique Real Photo Postcard! Two early Fire Pumpers are being pulled each by a pair of white horses. The firemen are posing in the wagon in front of the Fire Station. The photo is marked "Engine No. 12" and the back is scripted "N.E. 28th & Davis St." This Portland, Oregon postcard was found with a group of other Portland images including the Portland Stereoview we have listed. This postcard is wonderful brown color and has great contrast! It is a beauty! It is in very good condition and is postally unused and the corner tips are barely bumped. It is just under 5 1/2 by just under 3 1/2 inches. It is marked 1908 on the back as well as at the left corner area on front and lightly under "Engine No. 12" at the front bottom.
