One of many I am listing today. This one is made in the good ol USA by Pickard! It has a more "busy" pattern to it. Greens, blues, pinks and yellow with touches of gold! I am going to cheat here and copy and paste what I found out about this set online: Discontinued vintage PICKARD porcelain demitasse teacup / tea cup and saucer set in the NAVARRE pattern. (c. 1983) Excellent condition. This fine bone china cup and saucer set is number 10 in the set of the Danbury Mint's Cups & Saucers of the World's Great Porcelain Houses together. The 1st cup & saucer set was released and shipped out on October 31 , 1983, and the 25th (last) cup and saucer set was released and shipped out on December 31, 1985! The shape of this peerless cup and saucer set was selected specially for this collection and is a classic after-dinner style which dates back to Pickard's earliest china production. The design is a unique adaptation of the romantic "Navarre" pattern. The border on both the teacup and saucer is an interesting study in contrasts and sets off the floral motif with an elegance inherent in all the porcelain produced by Pickard.The inspiration for this design came from the Colonial South, a region of America long famous for its hospitality. The floral display is reminiscent of the traditional Colonial Tree-of-Life design, so often seen in pictorial histories of the South. The porcelain itself has a creamy, rich luster and coloration, setting off the design to perfection.Pickard China was founded in America nearly a century ago. It is the only major American porcelain house still managed by its founding family. The current president is the grandson of the founder. He firmly believes in his grandfather's philosophy: "No piece shall leave this studio that is anything less than museum quality!"Because of this philosophy, the name Pickard has always been associated with chinaware that is of exceptional quality. The Pickard hallmark appears on some of the world's finest dinner services. Since entering the field of limited edition collectibles in 1970, they have won every major industry award bestowed for quality, craftsmanship and artistry.This fine bone china demitasse teacup measures 2" tall, 2.75" in diameter at the tea cup lip and 3-3/8" from the tip of the teacup handle to the outside tip of the teacup. The matching saucer measures 4.5" in diameter. Both are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and are marked on the bases with DESIGNED & PRODUCED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE DANBURY MINT, PICKARD CHINA, MADE IN THE U.S.A., HAND DECORATED.
