This is a nice glamour picture of movie actress, Gloria Holden..she was born 9/5/08 and died 3/22/91..she was British and came to study at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts..she also worked as a model..she was best known for her role as Countess Marya Zaleska in the 1936 Universal Horror picture Dracula's Daughter..she also played Paul Muni's wife in The Life of Emile Zola..you can find out about her by checking her name on the computor.. this is an 8" x 10" glossy black and white picture autographed to my father who was a theatre manager for the late '30s and all of the '40s..it says Chick - Always best wishes from your friend, Gloria Holden - 1949..I think my mother, and possibly my father, had met her when visiting in Calif. back then..this hung on my father's office wall until he retired in 1952 then he packed away many pictures and memories for the rest of his life..it is in a black frame and in great shape.
