PICTURE POST BOUND VOLUME in Hard Cover Volume 2 issues 1 - 13 January 7 to April 1 1939 This volume is as bound and supplied by Picture Post, all issues present BUT note when these were bound the publisher stripped the covers off and removed some pages (mainly Ads) from each issue before binding. So for example issue 1 starts on page 9 and ends on page 72, issue 2 starts on page 11 and ends on page 70. The publishers philosophy seems to have been start at the 'title page' with the right hand side facing image. If you look at Abe Books online you will see they have similar volumes for sale from various booksellers. The majority have covers and introductory pages stripped before binding. (search Picture Post then sort by most expensive first to find the bound volumes) Colour pages on famous artists as featured in the centre pages of Picture Post are all bound in this volume (see image) The magazine pages are in good condition, most have either foxing or discolouration due age. Boards and spine are poorish and no lettering is visible. Binding fairly good with no volumes loose but some gaps to stitching. One page is loose, front and rear pages in volume are a bit ragged due exposed position.
