With illustrations on steel and wood, by eminent American artists. This book was edited by William Cullen Bryant and produced by New York: D. Appleton and Company, 549 & 551 Broadway. The book date is 1874. This book has 576 pages...they have gold gilt edges. The book measures 13 1/2" x l0 1/2"...the binding and corners are leather...the book weighs 11 pounds. There are 25 full page engravings, which are printed on very heavy stock. The inside covers are a beautiful marble look. The book is in very good shape..has some yellowing on edges of pages...and several yellow spots on a few pages...typical for books of this age. See pictures for cover wear...a little edge wear.
