This basket was part of my great grandfathers things that were collected in the southwest, while he was a surveyor for the USGS. He was in the Arizona and Utah areas in the 1920's. This is a nice Pima basket that measure 11" across and about 1-1/2" deep. It is in overall excellet shape. It is missing 7 coils all together on the rim. Only the three coils missing a row draw the eye, the others not. Only 2 coils are missing in the concave part of bowl, same with concave side. I count 12-13 coils per inch horizontal and 25 coils from the center of bowl, 26 with rim. This is a very tight weave and nicely done. Besides the little damage, a nice piece. And, sporting the tell tale spiral pattern of the Pima. Sold "AS IS". No returns. Shipping includes insurance and lots of packing. Sales only for the US, don't even ask for international shipping. This is a national/native treasure for sale. Thanks for looking. Check out my other items !
