Hocking Glass Company PINK PRINCESS pattern auction includes: ONE - PINK Princess pattern 9 1/4" inch Round HAT BOWL a/k/a Serving Bowl. Bowl measures appx. 9 1/4" inches across in diameter by appx. 4" inches, bottom of bowl measures appx. 3 1/4" inches. Holds appx. 1 1/2 Quarts, (2 Qts. if vegetable or potato as it can pile higher above the rim) This vintage depression glass PINK Princess pattern 9 1/4" inch Round Hat Bowl is pre-owned in EXCELLENT rarely used condition. NO stuck on food, stains, NO cracks, chips, nics or flea bites that we can see or feel on the round Hat Bowl. NO chips or nics on the bottom either. The bowl is called a "Hat Bowl" as it resembles a hat when turned upside down. Some of the little rough spots in the mold areas / lines are typical and expected on these vintage Hocking depression glassware pieces. Princess pattern Depression Glassware History : The Princess pattern was made by Hocking Glassware Company from 1931 to 1935. The Princess pattern collection was made in FIVE different colors, Pink, Green, Topaz (Yellow), Apricot (Peach) and Blue colors. Research shows that the Blue Princess pattern collection pieces were mainly exported to Mexico. We have watched for many weeks on ebay and you will see many of the Pink Princess pattern Cookie and Biscuit Jars listed and many of them are missing the lids or have many small chips or nics in the rim, or on the bottom, finding this set of Cookie Jars that is pristine and just about near new in condition for the vintage age, is probably one of those rare collector finds! This Pink Princess Round HAT Bowl / Serving Bowl is from our 78 year old Grandmother's personal large collection of vintage depression glass that she has. All her pieces were purchased many, many years ago for her collection and were not used and only on display in her huge China Cabinet. That is why this set is near mint and so very pristine, she has had it for over 40 years herself.
