Up for bid is a beautiful pink Staffordshire tureen with lid and underplate marked "English Scenic" - "Warranted Staffordshire, Adams, England". The platter is oval and measures aproximately 16" x 11 3/4 " The scene is of grazing cattle, horses and sheep by the edge of a pond with a background of trees & mountains with a distant castle on top of the mountain. The border is of flowers and leaves. The tureen measure aprox. 12 1/4" x 10" x 4 3/4" high with a scalloped edge. The scene is the same as the platter. The attached base of the tureen is the off white background color with a scalloped edge and a heart on each scallop. The attached base measures 8 1/4" x 6". The lid of the tureen is scalloped & matches the other pieces. It measure aprox. 10 1/2" x 8".The knob on top of the lid is a flower. The lid has the cut-out for a ladle. All the pieces are a complete match in mint condition. They are free from chips, cracks, breaks, stains or discoloration.
