This listing is for (one) 5 oz Silver Proof "Piramide de el Tajin" Coin. In a deep mirror finish, a stunning coin from the oldest mint in North America. A super low mintage of only 3,100 is an added bonus. Part of the Mexican Totonac Pre-Columbian series, which started in 1993 and celebrated the history of the Totonac culture by depicting artifacts uncoverd form various Totonac ruins. The famous "Pyramid of the Niche" is harmoniously adapto the photograph of El Tajin. The overhanging sides give the structure a particular scalloped border effect and especially distinguishes itself for it's 365 niches, which symbolize a ritual related to the Calendar of the Sun.
