this item is a planetron 8 track stereo player. it has a new belt and works just fine. it sounds fantastic. as you can see the unit is without damage, but could do with a wipe over as it is a bit dusty. this one cropped up at a local auction house, where it had been put through from a deceased estate in bradford west yorkshire. here is a link about the 8 track history, which i hope you find useful.... /chuckmiller/paying-tribute-to-the-8-track-tape/6379/
