This sturdy plaster snake was a carnival prize from World War II era, roughly 1945. My mother bought it from a woman who had received it as a prize in a carnival game. It seems to be made of a VERY sturdy, dense plaster; quite hard; not like the flaky, chipping plaster used today. The rattlesnake has amazingly crisp detail to his eyes, shape of the head, texture of the scales, everything - it is shockingly life-like. I've even had a few people shriek in surprise when they see it, thinking it was real. The coiled snake is 7 1/2 inches wide, and boxed for Priority Shipping weighs just under 3 pounds (2.625 or tabouts). Postal insurance is the buyer's choice (I'd recommend it for a plaster item, though it has been carefully packaged for shipping). Still, it's your choice; you know your mailman better than I do. I charge no handling fee, only the actual Priority mailing cost. International buyers, please contact me for a shipping quote before making payment. This sale is final. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to e-mail me well before the end of the auction, or check my feedback score.
