Hi I'm James Parker and I am offering some fine Family Tree of Cutlery knives for auction from a recent knife collection purchase. Personal checks, money orders, and Pay Pal gladly accepted. This knife for auction is a 1997 USA produced Family Tree of Cutlery Trapper pattern. Back in the early 1990's, my father, the late Jim Parker owned these trademarks as he absolutely loved learning and talking about the cutlery industry and it's heritage. About 4 years ago, he sold the rights to many of these names, such as this C. Platts' Sons trademark, to W.R. Case & Sons. As you all know, Case now markets many of these Family Tree of Cutlery names on knives actually produced by them in Bradford, PA. This C. Platts' Sons Old Style Redbone Trapper is 4 1/8" closed and reads C. Platts' Sons Eldred, PA. In 1905 C. Platts' Sons and W.R. Case & Son merged and incorporated W.R. Case & Sons, Bradford, PA. My father back in 1997, bought these knives when he had them manufactured by Blue Grass Cutlery, famous for the Case Classics knives.
