Good Evening, Here Is another opportunity to hold another real piece of WWII History In your hands. I would like to start out by saying that I am an Historian, not an autograph reseller or one who tries to profit off our WWII Veteran's blood and sweat. Between 1993 and 2000, I attended 3 Ploesti Reunions and corresponded with many Veterans of the 98th Bomb Group, "The Pyrimiders", the purpose of this was to preserve WWII history that was passing away. I shared ( gave away) much of the Information and photos I acquired to the Veterans, In return, they did autograph very few extra photos for me. I also Identify myself In my listings, I have an excellent reputation as an Historian and Invite you to look at my other listings Please note this photograph has not been retuched or Improved In any way. The Crew that flew this plane were on loan from the 389th. This was their first mission. Coming off of the target White IV that plane was hit heavily by flak. The pilots eased the plane down but was on fire. Only three men survived, the pilot, co-pilot and tail gunner. All were Imprisoned In Romania. What I am listing Is a very unusual 8 x 10 photograph.
