This appears to be a pocket microscope.It has focusing points for 40x,50x and 60x(magnification?)The outer body is blackened brass wheras the inner section is possibly stainless steel or nickel.There is a tiny mirror and lens at the narrow end and a viewing lens at the other."Made in Germany" is inscribed on the outer barrel.Afraid we dont know the age of this item or if it has any specific purpose.It comes in a plastic case.
