Pola Max O Scale 40' plastic regular door boxcarHere we have a model of a 40’ regular door boxcar painted in EL grey with red lettering, from the estate of a Savannah area collector. It is a well detailed plastic car with cast details on the underframe. It has a few problems, probably from being in the process of being modified – The B end side ladder has a broken top rung, the roof walk is loose at that end, and all corner steps are missing (and probably were never part of the model). The short side ladders grabs on both ends have been scraped off. Both Kadee couplers are missing their knuckle springs. There are a couple apparent glue smudges on the sides, and the entire car is dusted and faded.The metal wheels show some track time, and have a couple touches of rust on the axles. The metal trucks are sprung.The winner will have a well detailed addition to a post-war or transition freight car fleet. You're buying it as-is.
