This auction is for an early childs polio leg brace and shoe made of leather and metal with the original leather high top shoe. The child's shoe measures 9". From the top of the kneebrace pad to bottom of heal measures 11 1/2". It's in very good condition overall. All the leather seems to be in great shape. Straps all fine and are in working condition. The sole of the shoe is good, no deep worn area's on soles. You can see the hand craftsmanship of the shoe with the nails as done back in those years. I don't think they were worn much...... Even the shoe strings look to be pretty new. T's some rust on one side of the brace, shown in picture. It should clean up OK as it looks to be on the surface. T is alittle green patina to the rivets on the leg braces....but they are in good condition and tight in the leather. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me.
