Good home wanted for Polish Police whistle Citizens Militia issued c 1944 poorly chrome plated brass with original landyard. This amazing whistle is two escargot whistles piggy backing each other! I have never seen such a strange construction before or since! This also has it's original Landyard in white, denoting rank. A bit grubby :( 13 inches long, 340mmNever ever seen one with it's landyard before! I want to cut one of these whistles in half long ways to see how it is made.Unfortunately these whistles were first made in war torn Europe where skilled labour was scarce and the workmanship suffered.These were really difficult whistles to manufacture!The pattern on the moulding traces the internal structure of the whistle.So you can forgive the chrome from peeling off!I've never ever seen one of these with all the plate in tact!
