Contains: Fossil Diptera Larva & A Number Of Other Unknown Fossil Insect & Botanical Debris Inclusions. Photo is of the item being sold. Fossilized Dominican Amber, relic's from an ancient rain forest. Dominican Amber is estimated to be 20 to 40 Million years old! It comes from the mines in the mountains near Santiago where it is mined from below layers of Lignite, Dominican Amber is highly fossiliferous. Being from a ancient Tropical Rain forest, Dominican Amber contains a significantly higher variety of insect than Baltic Amber and is much rarer.
