This large-scale vintage Polistil diecast model (1/16) was manufactured after Niki Lauda's F1 season of 1974. This is a one-owner model that I bought in 1978 and has been in my collection for over 33 years. It was made in Italy, where the toy makers were passionate about Ferrari, especially when they made an F1 model and the full-size car was winning. Although a relatively simple model, it accurately depicts the shape and feeling of the full-size F1 Ferrari. Of course through the years there have been some more detailed models made of this car, but this remains one of the more interesting ones, partly due to it's large size: 5.5" wide x 10.75" long. Features: – Working suspension with all metal control arms and springs– Working steering– Removable wheels, although I no longer have the lug wrench. Just for the record, I haven't had a punctured tire the whole time I've owned it. (Yes, that would be impossible to have a flat tire on this model anyway.)Disclaimers:– Paint quality is typical of Polistil and other Italian diecast manufacturers: top, leading edge of the airbox and small scratches on the right side of the airbox. They don't detract from the model, but could easily be touched up if desired. I chose not to because it looks fine anyway. If you want more information, I can send additional detailed photos.– Crack in windscreen read more
