The Rose Point pattern was developed to be the signature line of china ware for Pope Gosser in connection with Steubenville china in the early 1930's. The pattern was designed from a piece of wedding lace and after working several months, their artist developed the embossed Rose Point. Differing from other designs of the era, Rose Point was more finely detailed and extended beyond the rim only. It was also unique that is had to be adapted to each piece. The embossed design was produced on a light ivory body with "a glaze of unusual brilliancy and transparency."Check out my other items !Be sure to add me to your favorites list !Please examine photos carefully.
