Porcelain Door Finger Plate decorated with a Pair of Maltese dogs. Size:- 280mm x 75mm x 10mm thick. You are bidding here for a porcelain door finger plate complete with pierced holes for mounting which is decorated with a Pair of Maltese dogs hand painted by Sylvia Smith. The artist has signed the work at the front on the lower edge.The floral Forget-me-not and Primrose decoration is applied transfers. These finger plates also make decorative items to hang on the wall by threading a ribbon or cord through the holes at the top. I personally have a group of these finger plates hanging on the wall decorated with pugs and pekes. I use the holes at the top to fix the loop and I tie a ribbon bow at the bottom, using the bottom two holes. The holes take a 5mm or ¼" satin ribbon. A pretty and unusual item. In very good condition – no cracks or nasties. Any questions – please ask.Sorry about postage – porcelain is not light weight!
